New teachers start in Sparta Area School District

There will be 23 teachers new to the Sparta Area School District when the 2012-13 school year begins Sept. 4. 

They include:

Katelynn Bean, K/1 Multiage Teacher, Maplewood Elementary 
Teeka Stafford, Second Grade Teacher, Southside Elementary

These teachers started Aug. 23 and 24 with new teacher orientation. They will return to their buildings for further staff development Aug. 28, 29 and 30 with all teachers to continue preparing for the new school year. Authors and presenters Robin Fogerty and Brian Pete will work with district staff about using the Common Core to differentiate curriculum and classrooms Aug. 28 and 29 while Aug. 30 will be devoted to district and building activities.
