The Sparta High School Girls Cross Country Team won their meet Thursday at Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau. The Boys Cross Country Team placed second out of 18 teams.
"I was very proud of our great team effort. Our team members pulled each other along," Coach Jean Roddick said.
"We had four girls receiving medals for being in the top 12, while two boys brought home some hardware," Roddick said, noting this is the third time the girls have won the G-E-T meet.
